Range estimate
Cost prediction, Professional Statement, 1st edition, published in November 2020 by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), defines a range estimate as: ‘The provision of several estimates, for example, a ‘most likely’ value as well as minimum and maximum values. This may be referred to as a three-point/fivepoint/ probabilistic estimate.’
